English

The teaching of English at Lansbury Bridge School is of the highest importance and is taught through a discrete lesson each morning. Lessons are structured, organised and differentiated to suit the specific needs of all pupils. Staff are committed in promoting communication and literacy and this is delivered continuously as part of our daily school life.

We follow the National Curriculum and through the use of multi –sensory experiences and an array of approaches that cater for different learning styles we ensure that the content covered is both age and level appropriate. We aim to provide a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum in order to equip each individual pupil with the skills they will need to reach their full potential.

In key stage 4 all pupils have the opportunity to access accreditation that celebrates their strengths and achievements.
