Volunteering Opportunities with the NYAS

NYAS are looking for volunteers to join their Independent Visitor Scheme in St Helens. An Independent Visitor is an adult volunteer who is matched with a children/young person who is Looked After, they meet once a month and go out on activities.

Do you have any spare time? Could you make a long term commitment of being matched & seeing a young person once a month? Full training & support is given as well as reimbursement of activity & travel expenses. You don’t need any specific experience; young people say that you need to be fun, willing to try new things, enjoy the visits & be a good listener.
